Concerning International Shipping Rates

Wednesday, July 8, 2020

I will be the first one to admit that the fees I have to charge for shipping my books outside the US are pretty steep.

So far, I have shipped six copes to foreign countries.  My costs vary slightly depending on the final destination, but the average for postage alone is nearly $21 USD.  That doesn’t include the packaging.

I originally set my shipping fee at $17 which means I sold those books at a loss to get them into those customers’ hands.  Today, I raised my shipping fee to $20.  While I am no longer selling them at a loss, I’m not making any profit to speak of either.  But I’m not complaining.

The good news is that I’ve learned that the cost of mailing two books is identical to shipping one.  So if you’ve been reluctant to place an order, you might just wait for the release of Book II to make it worth your while.

You always have the option to buy the postage-free electronic edition.

Thanks for your understanding.
